dave & esther MARRIED!

We had the pleasure of photographing Dave & Esther’s wedding this past weekend at Harry T’s Boathouse inHarborWalk Village of Destin, FL. Not only are Dave & Esther some of our most lovely and beautiful clients ever, we are also fortunate to call them friends! Esther is the secretary at Shoreline Church (an awesome church, with an obviously gorgeous secretary), and on occasion Dave plays in the worship band, as does Esther. Their wedding was very special to us, and we had the best time seeing these soul mates being united in marriage. Looking forward to her maternity session which would not be surprising if it happens to be in about 9 months or so…. ;) Congrats, guys!

baby vivienne

Baby V is here, and what a cutie she is! She has such a great family. Her sister, London looks just like her daddy. This was one of the more well behaved newborns, I honestly do not think she cried the entire shoot. I got a couple shots of London that I really loved.

Enjoy!!

mavi & sabrina …… engaged!

i had the pleasure of spending some time with mavi & sabrina this past saturday. we started at seaside and worked our way east along 30A. although the weather was cold, they were a great sport and so much fun. their love is contagious and they were a pleasure to shoot.

baby alex!

This was our latest newborn session. Alex is an adorable baby! His  parents, Kelsie and Andrew, are such wonderful people and were a pleasure to work with. Little sister Kailey almost stole the show… what a beauty. Thanks for coming in, Yang family!

Internship/Apprenticeship Position Available

Thank you to Amy and Carrie for doing an amazing job for us in 2008. We are now in the process of taking applications for 2 internship/apprenticeship positions for spring/summer 2009. If you are in college, you may use your hours towards your fieldwork/internship program (upon your school’s approval). If interested, please contact us with the requested information after reading all of the details below

Your photography skills should be at least at an intermediate level, but even more essential is your ability to learn by observation. The schedule per intern will average 2 sessions per week, and 1 to 2 weddings per month. Outdoor sessions typically take place on weekdays from 3:30-5:30pm (currently) and 5:30-7:30pm (summer). Weddings times vary, are usually on Saturdays, and average 8 hours. We are willing to work with your schedule, but you must have high availability during the above stated times, as projects often come up on a last minute basis and shooting hours can be inconsistent. Official internship will last from late February through Labor Day, but upon approval you may remain longer if you would like. There is a possibility that after the internship is completed, Ryan will use you on a paid basis to second shoot. The internship, however, is an unpaid position. Aside from the benefits of learning through observation, in exchange for your time Ryan will be available to answer questions you have, and will also be happy to critique your work and provide general advice and guidance. Upon request he is happy to also share his methods of image processing/editing,  and the like. Erica is happy to answer any questions pertaining to how the business side of things are handled (pricing structure, client database, invoicing, etc.). Like most things in life, you will get out of it in proportion to what you put into it. You will be encouraged to shoot on your own as much as possible, and apply what you have learned. Other aspects of this position, or what more you might want out of it, remain open for you to define with Ryan.

If you are interested in the photography internship, please email Ryan directly at ryan@pure7studios.com. Please include a phone number, and attach 3 samples of your work. You must be able to meet with Ryan in person to be considered. Please include information about your experience in photography and confirm that you have read through the schedule requirements.

Thank you and looking forward to another great year!
